Busy day. Doing lots.

Oh my goodness! This day is full of fun activities I missed doing a lot.

One, I joined another fun run!

The main event was held by the St. Joseph’s Academy in a small ville in Sariaya. It was sponsored by several family businesses there so the meals after the run was great! There was even a raffle with great prizes like yema cake, a ticket for Enchanted Kingdom, prepaid cards, cellphones, t-shirts, and many other things that I could not remember. Dyanne, who recruited me for this event and who also happens to be a relative, fortunately got a shirt and a pen from that raffle. It was super fun not just because of the previous amazing prizes I’ve mentioned but because there were around 700 or 800 people there! Whoo! That’s quite a breakthrough from my last fun run activity which consisted only of around 350 people.

I didn’t make any new connection or friend, but it was still fun and invigorating to be around so much people who shares the same principle as me.

Two, I finally made some donations!

I know people don’t like these things, because it’s a waste of money or something, but for me, it is something fulfilling because helping is one of the traits I would like people, and even myself, to experience. It just shows that no matter how big you think your problem is, there are people willing to help you not be depressed and condemn the world for it. You just have to open your mind and yourself for the blessings to come.

And three, last but not the least, I was able to spend a good several hours with my family.

I’m starting to think that working too much is too much. And that, what I have to do is to keep socializing over Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sites at a minimum and spend a good time with the people I most care about.

Well, that’s the perks of being a late bloomer, I only understand the real stuffs at a later pace than anyone.

It’s time for impulse-donation day!!!

SwanQueen Miracle Stars

Oh! I was torn when I found out that I could not afford a t-shirt from a SwanQueen donation because Booster, the campaign website that handles the printing, is not yet producing their goods outside of the United States. It’s really a bummer because I’m so, soooo hooked up now with Once Upon a Time and all the SwanQueen fandom and I really would like to help them reach their campaigns.

But, guess what?! I’m such in a good mood today that instead of donating to only one cause, I decided to make it two!

Yup! You read that right! I made 2 donations today.

(Don’t think I’m bragging about it, it’s just my way of repenting for neglecting to donate anything for the past several months since the last one.)

So, how did I get myself here, you might wonder. Well…

I asked myself, “Do you have to get a t-shirt for every donation you make?”

My mind replied in ashamed fashion, “Yes.”

And then, since I know I can’t lie to myself and I have to get something from these donations, I checked out Prizeo again for good causes and found 2 out of 4 offers a good freebie t-shirt with them. The first one is Enrique Iglesias’ SUPPORT ACTION AGAINST HUNGER and Christina Grimmie’s SUPPORT CITY OF HOPE. The former is about to close in a day and the latter is in 8 days, so if you’d also like to help in a way, please click the links provided below:

Remember, you don’t have to spend any dime to help these causes. Any clicks or shares will also benefit the community to be aware of these  problems we seem to neglect because we are living a good (and fancy, maybe) life.

I would also appreciate it if you could spread the word.

XOXO

Smoking

NoSmokingWhileOpening

I hate the smell of smoke. I don’t know why how people could inhale such poisonous blend of gases available in that one stick of tobacco. Whenever I get the chance to smell it, my lungs instantly stops working until I could hold the breath longer no more and then I have to inhale long huge amount of air to replenish the one that I just exhaled. And yes, the smoke was there. But not strong anymore.

My family owns a small sari-sari store in our house. I was so happy when the Philippine government finally issued the additional “required” taxes for tobacco companies but I could not let the gladness I felt show because increase in tax means costlier product to buy and to sell.

So, the rise of cost for cigarettes caused a dramatic dropped of tobacco consumers. That’s a good thing right? But, there are still a few companies that sells or produces half the cost of what the big bad companies make. Thus, now, the cheap products are the “hottest” and “most bought” cigarettes in our store.

You might be thinking, “Why won’t I stop this if I don’t want to smell smoke within 100 feet of me?” Well, I have a say to such matter but the store is still my mom’s so she’s still the boss.

I hope these people will stop smoking for the sake of others. Many people, mostly innocent, get diseases just by being near them. And it is sad to know that those who are innocent gets worse illnesses than those who smoke tobaccos.
