Music of the Week: On This Winter’s Night by Lady Antebellum

So, it’s already December and I think it will be best to start the week with what signifies it. So, for the next few weeks, the theme, of course, will be Christmas. And to start if off, we have On This Winter’s Night by the ever great Lady Antebellum! I’ve been a fan of them since I first heard Need You Now in 2011 but I admit that I didn’t or haven’t tried to hear any songs from them. It’s just that I know the musics I’d like to listen to and I don’t prefer one band or musician over the others because my mood changes and I like to listen to songs I can relate to. Yeah, I know we all are! So it’s no big deal if you don’t like this music or the band. Just being you is cool. XOXO – aLLy

Lyrics

This winter’s night
Stars shine like silver bells
This winter’s night
The mistletoe kiss and tell
Snowflakes fall like frosting
And I sit on the street
Strangers look like neighbors
With every smile that you meet

But here in my arms I’ll keep you warm
And hold you tight
On this winter’s night
(We’ll look back on the year)
On this winter’s night
(We’ll count our blessings)
On this Winter’s night
We will remember

This winter’s night
Icicle lights will trim the tree
This winter’s night
Wrapped a present or two from you and me
Tuck our children into bed
And dream the night away
Til’ the sun dawns in the mornin
With the joy of Christmas day

But here in my arms I’ll keep you warm
And hold you tight
On this winter’s night
(We’ll look back on the year)
On this winter’s night
(We’ll count our blessings)
On this Winter’s night
We will remember

The wisemen heard the angels sing
And Him like soft and robe
The king became a child a long long time ago
And the child became a king
So the whole wide world will know
What christmas really is

Music of the Week: My Rules by Aom Sucharat

I was inspired to post this because of the innocent love I witnessed from the Yes or No Thailand movie. It revitalized my “love” energy, turning my bitter mood into something light and fluffy that I had to re-watch the movie for several times (it is becoming one of my favorites now). The said movie was asked in a Facebook Group that I happened to be a member of, and then it became a hot topic and everybody’s getting buzzed up with this cute program. So yeah, I tried it and was turned, fortunately, as a fan of both leading actresses. I do follow them on both Facebook and Instagram and I instantly noticed that Tina is more active on Facebook while Aom is doing well on the latter social media website. Anyway, I just like to share this cute and catchy song here.

Music of the Week: Us Against the World by Coldplay (cover by Daniela Andrade)

Ooh! I love this song. A mellow version of Us Against the World by Daniela Andrade.

“Us Against The World”

Oh morning come bursting the clouds, Amen.
Lift off this blindfold, let me see again.
And bring back the water, let your ships roll in, in my heart, she left a hole.

The tightrope that I’m walking just sways and ties.
The devil, as he’s talking, with those angel’s eyes.
And I just wanna be there when the lightning strikes.
And the saints go marching in

And sing slow it down,
Through chaos as it swirls,
It’s us against the world.

Like a river to a raindrop,
I lost a friend.
My drunken has a Daniel in a lion’s den.
And tonight I know it all has to begin again,
So whatever you do,
Don’t let go.

And if we could float away,
Fly up to the surface and just start again.
And lift off before trouble just erodes us in the rain
Just erodes us in the rain
Just erodes us and see roses in the rain

Sing slow it down
Slow it down

Through chaos as it swirls,
It’s us against the world.
Through chaos as it swirls,
It’s us against the world
